Celebrating Australian Flavours

our vision

TASMANIAN PEPPERBERRY

Pepperberries (Tasmannia lanceolata) are more versatile than the conventional peppercorn. These deep purple colored berries have been touted a superfood  due to their high antimicrobial & antioxidant properties. Theycontain 3 x the antioxidants of blueberries, linking them with a whole spectrum of health benefits.

Pepperberry is sweet & fruity with a peppery aftertaste, enhancing both sweet & savory dishes, not to mention how fun it is to use for it’s color.

SMOKED SALT FLAKES

Our smoked salts flakes (also known as 'snowflakes') are sustainably sourced and produced using the pristine mineralised brines from ancient saline aquifers of the Murray Darling basin. They contain trace minerals including magnesium, calcium, potassium and iodine and are naturally flavoured using only Australian ingredients.

Our salts are hand-smoked using oak wood from Yackandandah and Victorian olive wood.

Smoked salt flakes are thin, delicate  flakes of salt that spike your meal in a pleasurable way.  Use them when roasting food such as chicken or fish. Plus, Natural snowflakes have higher mineral complexity than refined salts.

PURE PINK LAKE SALT

Sourced from Western Victoria, the pink lake is fed by natural salt aquifers and each summer dries out to reveal a bed of salmon coloured pink salt. Native Harvest’s Pink Lake Salt is hand harvested & sun dried  in partnership with the Traditional Custodians, the Barenji Gadjin Land Council. Pink Lake salt salt lightens to a pink-tinged white as it dries which is what should happen when salt is completely natural and unadulterated.

Through analysis of our Pink Lake Salt, we know that it contains an abundance of trace minerals including: calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, chloride, magnesium, iron, zinc, iodine and beta carotene. For more information about the Barenji Land Council, click here.
